While both development and the mens team each received first round playoff byes, the women had to go on the road against Dynamo who had recently beat them in the handicap match. But this time was much different. Kayleigh Harper and Vicky Smedley smothered Dynamos star point guard limiting her to 4pts playing press defense the whole game. Nicole Cunningham and Rachel Cejer put on an offensive fireworks show, while Becky Williams and Kate Cady provided valuable defense, rebounds, and timely baskets to help Shock pull away by as much as 23pts before Dynamo put on a press of their own. After sustaining the initial surge by Dynamo, Kayleigh Harper nailed key free throws to put the game away followed by Rachels 4th quarter buzzer beater to finish the game 54-42.
