Clean sheet

Swindon Shock keeps home record clean for 2015.  Although the season has been up and down, Swindon Shock kept a clean sheet on Saturday defeating Birmingham City 60-59 remaining undefeated at home.  Former Bristol guards Jermaine Major & Anton Pritchard helped erase a first half six point deficit pouring 21 points between them.  A late surge from Shock small forward Matt North catching fire late in the fourth and scoring three consecutive baskets to give shock a 4 point lead with three minutes remaining.

However City’s prayers were answered when a 3 pointer banked in and a costly Shock turnover led to a quick basket.  Down one with just under 20 seconds Pritchard found Mantas Kmita underneath the basket and the guard quickly took advantage of his height, leaping over the City guard and reclaiming a 1 point lead.  With 9 seconds remaining Shock put on a desperate defensive front forcing two missed shots and sealing the victory.  Shocks remaining games will be on the road for 2015. Shock will play Coventry Tornadoes next, with a chance to close the league gap to one game.
