Shock defeat Woking in Cup Match

Sunday the 18th of September Swindon Shock traveled for an away game against Woking Blackhawk Flyers in the first round of the National cup. After falling behind by 4 points early, match MVP Spencer Wells quickly scored 10 of his 29pts in the first quarter helping Shock to an early 21-14 lead. After a close second quarter that saw shock add 2 more points to their lead. Sharp Shooting Mantas Kmita hit two 3pt baskets bring his match total to 17pts and small forward Matt North added to his match total of 14pts to give shock a comfortable 60 to 45 lead going into the 4th quarter. With the bench in late in the game gaining valuable experience of closing out a game, Woking would battle back slightly, ultimately falling 77-68. Swindon Shock will now travel to Exeter October 1st to open up its regular season. Then moving on to Cardiff October 2nd for the second round of the National cup. Shock will host its first home game October 8th at New College against arch rival Bristol Flyers at 2pm.
